Presidents Message
Hello fellow curlers,
It’s the start of a new curling season at the Richmond Curling Club.
As president, on behalf of the RCC Board of Directors I would like to welcome all members to our club from the new Learn to Curl participants to the long-standing members.
This season 2023/2024 we will see some change at the Club, as every knows Terri retired at the end of last season. So, the process to replace Terri was started in November and by mid-May we had a candidate confirmed Sarah Willits.
Sarah will be our new ice maker starting in September.
Another change is the draw days have been switched up to see if a more balanced draw schedule can be achieved.
The Slide and Drive event will be added to the calendar to start this season,
October14 (9 holes golf -8 ends curling)
Our club is run on volunteer participation. Thank you to these members that make the club what it is. If you are interested in the opportunity to get involved at any level you can speak with me or any member of the board.
Currently there are no Covid restrictions in place from the Ottawa Public Health.
The board will monitor and follow guidelines as necessary.
On September 22/6:30-8:30pm September 23/-10am - noon open house registration will take place at the club
On September 22 6:30-8:30 a fare well party form Gerry and Arlene Marshall will take place at the registration.
“Good curling”
See you on the ice!
Gerry Moore
President Richmond Curling Club.
