Enjoying the Club
Members are invited to utilize the services of the club to the fullest extent possible. Members’ guests are welcome to watch the curling activity and participate in the many social events that are ongoing in the club. The Richmond Curling Club has been operated entirely by its members since it was established in 1960: we are a non-profit organization. Many people helping out allows for greater input into your club and less work for all. So please feel free to volunteer and lend your expertise to the club. It is a great way to get to know people. You can find out more about volunteer opportunities that may interest you in the Volunteering section of this website.
Weekly curling events include both Draw (register as individual) curling and Fixed (register as team) curling.
Draw curling offers an excellent introduction if you are new to curling, and it’s a great way to meet members as teams are formed on a 4-5 week basis from the list of members who sign up.
Teams for Fixed competition are established at the start of the year. Teams may be entered as a complete entity or individuals may submit their names to the Draw Master who will match then up with other individuals looking to form a team.
